Hey there y’all! Had a question come up in one of our steering committee meetings that made me think. A community member inquired about whether there was a way to list donation drop-off points in our directory. Our current taxonomy doesn’t have tags that really support that directly, so the short answer was no, but it got me thinking…
Could there be value in including some kind of “Donations” category in the schema? Whether it’s an independent object or a field (potentially inside service_at_location), in a practical sense I could see utility in an available flag that lets end users display s@l records that accept donations. From a community stand point it lets people help out, but also there are times where you just want/need to get rid of stuff but don’t know where to take it.
Just throwing it out there as an idea, or if y’all implement a method of communicating this to your end users I’d love to hear about it.
