Hello everyone. I am interested in the extent to which Community Directories capture information about the community that lies beyond health and social care provision. I appreciate that many Directory builders focus on statutory services as a manageable starting point, but worry that end-users of the Directory contents will be routinely steered towards welfare services rather than community participation.
One action I have taken in response to this is to try and list national Directories where information about local communities may be found For example, Active Places Power lists sports facilities across England, but I can’t find a directory to help me find local branches of political parties, since they appear to be £walled.
