Just saying Hello, I previously worked at Dorset Council, I am now working for Netcall and developing a Social Care solution. I am considering whether we offer an open referral UK standard directory so just keeping on top of the latest news! There appears to be a lot of resistance to it form my experience.
Hello Jaime. It’s good †o have you here.
I’d be interested to know where the resistance is coming from. Any details you can share would help with ORUK communication.
At present I’m working with an MHCLG project to increase adoption of Open Referral UK (ORUK). There will be a comms campaign to increase awareness of ORUK and its benefits. I expect the first of a series of online event to come in October (more news shortly). I’m also expecting MHCLG to do a lot more to encourage ORUK adoption in coming months and years.
An NHS England social prescribing framework does say that ORUK should be used to consume details of services.
The MHCLG project has set up a Cross-Government ORUK Steering Group including NHS and DHSC representation. Again I expect more from them soon.
If you’d like to share more about your solution, I could suggest where ORUK fits in.
All the best
Mike
Hi Mike, When I was at Dorset there was concern from a VCS organisation who already had an online directory, I think the process of tagging the data in the suggested way wasn’t straight forward, I am being vague I appreciate. drop me an email jaime.guercio@netcall.com and we can always chat in more detail.
